Yeah, so my buddy/old roomie Josh Gallant is flying to Korea tomorrow, to teach there. So yesterday he and i went to the Dartmouth Crossing theatre and saw the Simpsons Movie. I didn't really know if it would be super funny or not, but i bought some kool-aid, so that i would laugh easier anyway. you know, all the sugar...
So anyway, right from the get-go, the stinkin' movie had me in a fit of laughter...that's right...a fit! yeah, it was just like seeing a Simpsons episode, except longer....and better. of course, as usual nowadays (thanks to having children who wake me up so early after a late night at work) i was drifting to sleep a few times...trying desperatly to stay awake so i didn't miss the fantasticness. i swear...i never fell asleep during movies at 12 in the afternoon before i had kids.
so, to any true simpsons fan, i say SEE THIS MOVIE. it fell in love with the simpsons all over again. kinda like how i fell in love with kelly, then she dumped me, and a couple years later we got back together and fell in love all over again. but this time is was for keeps...just like my love of the simpsons (for which kelly does not approve).

So we recently had a visit from Greg and Jocelyne. They even brought Job with them (I guess he still can't stay at home by himself yet). They were on their way to PEI...the Island of dreams...and stopped in overnight to visit. Kelly and I decided that we would let them stay in our storage closet. Job, of course, we let sleep in the sink again. He loves sleeping there. Just kidding. They actually got to take over Emma's room, since she was at a sleepover at Grandma and Grandad's.
When Emma came home the next day, she was very excited to see her cousin Jobey. They had fun playing together, as you can see.
Job has been getting so big, and doing all the things that we are anticipating Morgan doing in a few months...like sitting up good, eating more cereal, changing his own diaper, and even singing show tunes. Well, maybe not the latter two. But he even did a bit of a crawl while he was here. We were all so excited. It's funny...I mean, I can jump, run, and do cartwheels...but it's not cute. But when an 8 month old crawls, it's amazing. Not fair...I deserve more praise!!!
Morgan played a bit with Job, and they had to be watched, since they both were discovering the other. Job was trying to pat Morgan's head like a drum, and she was trying to pull his face. So cute, so cute. I think Morgan liked playing with him. Pretty sure they will be partying together for years to come.

Barfing Baby
Yeah, so this morning...not only did Morgan wake up at 5am, and not go back to sleep, but appearently she drank too much milk from mommy. I am laying there in bed, wishing i could get back to sleep, and thinking about how the Ward Picnic would go (mmmm, the six foot subway sandwiches were yummy)...and i hear "uh oh".
So of course, I ask "What happened?" Well, Kelly said Morgan threw up, and asked me to hold her while she got something to wipe up with. So i am holding Morgan (who I love, and realize is just a baby, and doesn't know any better) up in front of me when she goes for round two of puke-a-mania. YUCK!! She threw up right in front of me, and on my chest and on our comforter. I was it all come out, even through the little girl's nose. Poor thing. But she was happy as a lark afterwards (which kills me). Anyway, I thought she just got the comforter (there was a pool of white puke in front of me on the blanket, which was sick!), but when i got to the bathroom, I noticed it soaked me all the way through my shirts.
Bottom line.......THANKS for the puke, Morgan, and good morning to you, too.

Upper Clements Park RULES!!!!
Well Monday we took our summer trip to Upper Clements Park. We were waiting for a nice Monday to go (since that is one of my days off). So grandad took us down to that wonderfully magical park that always makes me feel 5 again.
It was a really hot day out, which was nice. There weren't many people there, either, so we didn't have to wait in big line-ups. I was soaking wet at one point, just from sweating. Now that is what I call summer...sweaty arms.
Luckily, they have a flume ride to help cool off. It was great, we got to stay on as much as we wanted, cause nobody was in the line. I sat in the back with Kelly in the middle and Emma up front (Grandad looked after Morgan). We got so soaked!! But it was alright cause like I said, it was HOT. Flume Ride (Me, Kelly, and Emma)
Oh, so last year Emma's favorite was the Roller Coaster. We were pretty excited to get on it. Kelly and Emma went on first, and I had to wait in line with a bunch of stinky boys. Seriously, they stunk. I am sure they hadn't showered since school let out. Not only that, but they butted in front of me. I was gonna push them down, but figured I would try to be the better man. So anyway, the roller coaster ended up being a flop. I think it is getting too old. I was super ricketty, and i felt like my head was going to get shaken off. I actually started getting a headache after being on it. So we only went on twice.
We also got to go on the most exciting ride of this, and last, century...the Merry-Go-Round. Wow, I could hardly contain myself on this ride. I haven't been on one for years...for good reasons. But we all got to ride on horses together. Riding horses is the best feeling in the world, according to some. But these were not very lively horses. Do what you have to do for family memories, right?
Last year Emma and I waited about 30-40 minutes to get on the bumper boats. This time there was no line, and we even got to go on twice in a row. Probablly could have gone on more, but I kept getting bumped my this 9 year old who could drive the boats better than me. I felt inferior to his superiority. But we had fun. Grandad went on with Emma one time. I tried to sink their battleship.
Morgan was pretty good all day, eventhough she was confined to the stroller for most of it. She stayed awake the whole time I think. Her and Grandad had loads of quality time together. She's a happy girl. I mean, who wouldn't be happy just sitting in a stroller all day sucking on your fingers? I can only hope that some day I can live that dream.
Grandad went on a few rides, and even helped out Emma driving her car. Emma went on one of the cars by herself at first, but she ended up crashing into one of the cars at the end. I thought it was pretty funny as I was watching it from my car, but I guess she was pretty upset about it. It's still funny though. I should have uploaded the picture of her, cause it shows her fear and panic at not being able to stop her car. hahahaha, it's fun to laugh at them sometimes, right?
The last ride we went on was the train. We were soaking wet, cause we just came off the flume ride for the second round. It was nice to relax on the train at the end. We got some good pictures of the girls together, and Morgan by herself.
The last thing we did was listen to the band play while we ate ice cream. Emma got up and danced to most of thier songs. She made me come up and twist during one song. I must say, I can twist like the best of them. I am sure there are few out there who share my talent for doing the Twist.

The Deep South
we were down to yarmouth on the weekend. i made snacks for the drive, cause i am domesticated. now, if i could only learn to sew, i could take over kelly's position as mom.
morgan got to play with some new toys, and had fun with her relatives. i think she likes greg better than me. i think it's cause he smells better than me. he's always seemed to maintain a cetain hint of raspberry in his B.O. lucky man!!

The Trip To The Zoo (not our home, but the real zoo)
Yeah, so last friday we went to the zoo. The Oaklawn Farm Zoo in Aylesford, NS. It was fun. Better than last year. It wasn't nearly as hot as last year. We actually thought it might rain, but it held out.
